At the Wilcox County Development Authority, we are committed to fostering economic growth, supporting new and expanding businesses, and promoting the well-being of all who call Wilcox County home. The Wilcox County Development Authority is a public entity representing all four communities of Wilcox County — Abbeville, Pineview, Pitts, and Rochelle. We serve as the primary point of contact for site selectors, businesses, and investors considering the region. Our role includes:



  • Coordinating economic development efforts across the county
  • Promoting available sites and buildings suitable for industrial, agribusiness, and logistics uses
  • Facilitating workforce development and training partnerships
  • Helping businesses navigate local, state, and regional incentives
  • Serving as liaison between businesses and local governments, utilities, and community leaders
